• Waitlist and account registration: When you join our waitlist or create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name and company.
• Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the Syscribe platform, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the product.
• Code and documentation content: When you connect a repository, Syscribe processes code diffs and generates documentation drafts. We do not store the full contents of your codebase beyond what is necessary to process a documentation event.
• Communications: If you contact us by email, we retain the contents of that correspondence.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and improve the Syscribe platform
• Send you product updates, beta access notifications, and service announcements
• Respond to your inquiries and support requests
• Measure and analyze product usage to improve quality and performance

By joining our waitlist, you consent to receiving emails from Syscribe about your waitlist status, beta access, and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send.

We may share your information with trusted service providers who help us operate our business — including cloud infrastructure providers (AWS), analytics tools (PostHog), and transactional email services (Resend). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove your information within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to personnel who need it to perform their job functions. We are actively working toward SOC 2 Type II certification.

We use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog may use cookies or local storage to track usage sessions. We do not use advertising cookies or share behavioral data with ad networks. You can opt out of analytics tracking by enabling the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser.
